00 Parallel Lives

Everyone always complains about the lack of late night entertainment in the Grand Cities – but those people obviously haven’t heard of the Firehall Theatre’s Late Night Theatre Series!  Bringing quality theatre designed for more mature audiences to the stage, this series allows the theatre to present more marketable community theatre fare for their regular season while still pushing some boundaries and maybe some buttons after the sun goes down.  This is the second year of the Late Night Series, which debuted in October with Dog Sees God, a re-imagining of the Charlie Brown gang now in their teen years (read my review of that show HERE).  Now the Late Night Series continues with Parallel Lives, a comedy by comedians Mo Gaffeny and Kathy Najimy that may not be as racy as some of the past Late Night shows (I’m looking at you, Reindeer Monologues!) but is full of laughs as well as some very witty social commentary.

The two woman show is co-directed by and stars local theatre regulars Amy Driscoll and Nikki Quam; why not stay up late and laugh with these two lovely ladies?!

Show runs Friday and Saturday at 9:30 pm, November 15-16 and 22-23.  Tickets are only $8, so bring all of your friends, even that cheap ass one who wears Wet’n’Wild lip gloss.
