LETTER FROM THE EDITOR: Changes Coming To The World Of Champagne! Plus, A New(ish) Content Section!

Janessa BismarckHello fabulous World of Champagne Readers!

We’ve been talking for some time about how the World of Champagne is heading for a revamp – and is it ever!  I’ve been working very closely with my fabulous webmistress Natalina as well as graphic design guru and drag daughter extraordinaire Kelly Coxsyn, and very soon the site is going to be getting a major cosmetic overhaul.  New colors, new banner images, and more!

But beauty is more than skin deep, and so are the changes you’ll see on the site!  Today we added a fabulous section called “From The Archives.”  This section will feature older posts from the World of Champagne that we felt deserved another go ’round.  It’s located right below the  preview pane for my blog and will feature three great content pieces from the history of the site, changed out on a random rotation (I’d commit to a specific time, but y’all know me better than that!).  We’ve kicked off the section with three fun pieces we know you’ll enjoy:

*  A blog article about Stephen King’s Carrie, written in anticipation of the remake that came out last October.  If you love the remake, prefer the original, or are ready to get introduced to the story for the first time, be sure to check this out and share your thoughts!

* Our first artist profile on the site, featuring fabulous photog Miranda Roen.  Visitors to our photo galleries will know Miranda’s photo shoots with me, but this is a chance for you to learn more about the amazing woman behind the camera.

* And of course, we had to repost the blog entry that started this whole site!  Remember Carly Rae Jepsen?  Two years ago, you couldn’t go ten minutes without hearing her annoyingly catchy debut single, “Call Me Maybe.”  My thoughts on this song and how they might be useful in protecting your heart, are there for the reading – if you don’t mind having that song stuck in your head for the rest of the day!

Another exciting change we are hooping to add to the site sometime in the summer is the beginning of a semi-regular podcast!  As many of you know, I’m very opinionated, but not very technologically inclined so there is a bit of a learning curve, but Natalina has assured me that the process is easy enough that even a Luddite queen like me can figure it out!  So look for more info coming soon on that venture and what I have planned.  I promise: it will be fun, sexy, and maybe just a little bit scandalous!

And as always, I am always looking for guest contributors to add content to the site.  We’ve had two guest pieces on the site so far: a guest review of Moon Over Buffalo by Mitzi Canard (aka Chris Berg, of the Empire Theatre Company) and a guest blog about sexy toys for men sponsored by Adam & Eve.  If you have something to say, a review of a great artistic event coming to the Greater Grand Forks area, or maybe some fabulous makeup advice and tips to share, don’t hesitate to contact me through the site with your submission.

I’m always excited to hear from our readers, so if there is something you love, something you loathe, or you just want to throw your 2 cents in, please don’t hesitate to let me know!  You can comment directly on a post (I read every single one, even if I don’t always respond!), you can email us through the contact link at the top of the home page, or send me a message on Facebook!  I’m not very active, but you can also send me a tweet on Twitter, @JanessaJaye.

Thank you for all of the support you’ve given to me, this site, and all of the shows I’ve been performing in.  I feel truly blessed to have the opportunity to share my thoughts and ideas with you, and have you share yours with me.  We’re all in this together, and my hope is that we can make the world a more forward-thinking, sexy, glamorous place to live!
