Friday Night

Miss Jaye is locked and loaded to bring you some more fabulous indie horror hits – and what better day than a Friday the 13th in the month of October?!

That’s right Champagne Dreamers: on Friday, Oct 13, Miss Jaye’s Friday Night Frights will be back once again with some very special surprises and a fantastic double feature for horror fans!

Friday 02

At 9 pm, get the madness started with Dirt Candy Productions’ She Was So Pretty.  Directed by Brooklyn Ewing (the special guest interview from episode 3 of Janessa After Dark!), the show features Jerry Larew (an upcoming JAD guest – stay tuned!) as Alfie, an awkward young man looking for love who just happens to be a psychotic murderer.  When he meets-slash-kidnaps Valerie, is it possible that he’s final found “the one?”  This film was featured at the 2016 Nightmare Film Festival where Ewing won the Best Director award!

Friday 01

At 11 pm, our second feature serves up a heapin’ helpin’ of 80s nostalgia along with some Halloween flair – The Barn from Nevermore Productions Films!  A group of teenagers set off for a rock concert and distract themselves by telling the spooky legend about the barn, where the devil’s minions come on Halloween night to collect flesh for their master!  Once the creatures are set free, can they stop the terror using “the rules” of Halloween?  Directed by Justin M. Seaman, this campy romp is a perfect throwback to the heyday of 80s B-movie horror!  Featuring cameos by Ari Lehman (the first Jason Voorhees!) and scream queen Linnea Quigley!

As a special treat, Champagne Dreams Productions has partnered with Etheria Film Night to also present a curated selection of short films by female-identified directors!  Find out more about Etheria Film Night HERE!

And of course the entire evening will be emceed by your hostess with the mostest, Miss Janessa Jaye Champagne, and will feature games and giveaways including copies of both films, gift bags for those “early birds” who get there first, and plenty of surprises!

Admission is $10, which covers both shows and entry into all of the giveaways, as 50% of the proceeds will benefit the Fire Hall Theatre!

DOTD0509So c’mon down to the Fire hall Theatre on Friday, October 13th and catch some amazing independent horror films, show off your spooktacular costumes, and be prepared to possibly win some utterly fabulous prizes!

Brought to you by Champagne Dreams Productions, producers of the podcast Janessa After Dark, with special thanks to Dirt Candy Productions, Nevermore Productions Films, and Etheria Film Night for their support in showing these great films!
