santa 02Come through, Mrs. Claws!

Miss Jaye is back at it again, putting together another amazing collection of indie horror for your enjoyment!  And this time, she’s combining a little bit of holiday horror with films coming from a female perspective!

Starting at 9 pm, there will be a curated selection of short films courtesy of Etheria Film Night.  EFN is a genre film celebration that features work by woman-identified directors, and their selection criteria are open and inclusive to include films by trans directors, directors who identify as gender fluid of non-conforming, and gives them a space to showcase their work.  There will be a variety of shorts with different styles and themes, primarily organized with a horror flavor!  This is a unique opportunity for film buffs to experience some great independent short films!

At 11 pm, we’ll show our feature: She Was So Pretty 2: Be Good For Goodness Sake!  The original She Was So Pretty was one of the features at our October event, and premiered at the 2016 Nightmares Film Festival where director Brooklyn Ewing won the award for best Director.  The sequel had it’s world premiere in October at the 2017 Nightmares Film Festival where is received the award for Best Cinematography, and will have its convention premiere at the Chicago Days of the Dead convention in November!  When it comes to the Fire Hall Theatre on December 15, it will have only been seen in a handful of locations – it’s fresh, hot new horror!  (If you missed Miss Jaye’s interview with Brooklyn, you can listen to it HERE!)

And as always, Miss Jaye will have all sorts of treats for those who have been nice AND naughty!  The first 5 people through the door will get a specially prepared “Swag Bag” put together by Miss Jaye herself, and there will be games and prizes throughout the evening!

So join Miss Jaye as she brings back her popular Friday Night Frights event on December 15 at the Fire Hall Theatre.  Admission and entry into all of the giveaways is only $10, and 50% of the proceeds directly benefit the Fire Hall and the Greater Grand Forks Community Theatre!
