UPDATED: Miss Jaye’s Friday Night Frights Brings You A Very Special Episode About…REEFER MADNESS! April 20

Published on April 6, 2018 by   ·   No Comments

Citizens – due to our desire to protect the children of our communities from the dreadful horrors of the reefer, we’ve pushed the start date for this event back to 10 pm to ensure that all of the little ones, from wide-eyed toddlers to rebellious teens, will be safely tucked into their beds before we share these scandalous educational films with you.  Yes, we know it’s late, and this is North Dakota, and all of that.  But we’re talking about Public Enemy #1 – MARIJUANA!  Aren’t your children worth a late night at the Fire Hall Theatre taking in this educational programming?

Do it for the children.  XOXO – Miss Jaye

At Miss Jaye’s Friday Night Frights, we love celebrating the best of independent horror.  However, there are horrors facing the real world…and we’re here to help!

On 4-20, Miss Jaye herself will be hosting a Very Special Episode of Miss Jaye’s Friday Night Frights at the Fire Hall Theatre in order to warn you of the corruption, degradation, and depravity of Reefer Madness!

Think marijuana is a harmless drug for hippies and angsty teens?  Think again!  As you’ll see in the evenings two feature films, smoking reefer can lead to all manner of sin and depravity including promiscuous premarital sex, lewd dancing, reckless driving…even murder!

First up for your moral betterment is the 1930s classic Reefer Madness, but as you’ve probably never seen it before: in gorgeous technicolor!  See the dangerous clouds of reefer smoke in all their rainbow glory as unsuspecting teens are seduced into a world of sin!

In case that isn’t enough to “scare straight” your wicked, wicked soul, we’ll be following that up with a musical version of Reefer Madness that makes the dangers even more shockingly obvious…and that much more entertaining!

To ensure that our impressionable children are safely tucked in for the night before we start our educational programming, the first feature will begin at 10 pm with the second feature at Midnight.  The education you will receive is priceless, especially in how it can protect your immortal soul, but there is a mere $10 entrance fee, 50% of which will benefit our gracious hosts at the Fire Hall Theatre.

If you care about your community, if you care about safeguarding our children, or even if you just want to have a rocking good time stamping out sin, Miss Jaye invites you to partake in this evening of community awareness and togetherness.  And if the message isn’t enough to get you there, perhaps the concessions will.  Our brownies are…amazing!
